Deep brain stimulation surgery is available in India since 1997. There are several centres offering DBS surgery for various disorders in India. The surgery is performed as per the international standards, i.e. use of high end MRI machine, Micro electrode recording etc.

The cost of DBS surgeries varies from centre to centre and is based on the type of implants used. The average cost is around 8-9 lacs for a non rechargeable implant.
